Vision Programs

By leveraging our more than 40 years of managed vision care experience, Avēsis has designed quality vision insurance specifically for government-sponsored programs. Whether we are developing and implementing vision care programs from inception or improving upon existing vision care offerings, our vast knowledge is central to administering these essential benefits cost-effectively. Our commitment will be to provide your members with access to the tools they need to maintain good eyesight and promoting overall wellness.

Routine eye health examinations are vital tools in evaluating an individual’s overall health and wellness by aiding in the early detection and prevention of medical problems such as 1:

  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Glaucoma
  • Cataracts
  • Arteriosclerosis
  • Bacterial infections
  • Carcinoma
  • High cholesterol
  • Keratoconus
  • Stroke

Detecting these and many other disease states during an eye examination can provide cost-effective early intervention, reducing overall medical costs, improving patients’ quality of life, and increasing member appreciation. In addition, these programs can dramatically improve Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) scores.

As no two programs are truly identical, Avēsis welcomes the opportunity to discuss how we can create an innovative, customized vision care program to best meet the needs of your covered members.

Dental Programs

By relying on decades of managed dental care experience, Avēsis has designed quality dental insurance specifically for government-sponsored programs. Whether we are developing and implementing dental care programs from the tools or improving upon existing dental care offerings, our vast knowledge and experience are certain to help you provide your members with access to help maintain good oral and overall health.

Routine dental examinations are important tools in evaluating overall health and are an invaluable tool in the early detection and/or prevention of numerous medical conditions, including2:

  • Diabetes
  • Heart disease
  • Pre-term low birth weight babies
  • Osteoporosis
  • Leukemia
  • Lymphoma
  • Oral cancer
  • Pancreatic cancer
  • Kidney disease

Dentists can detect diseases far beyond the mouth. According to the American Dental Association and WebMD, diseases and health conditions throughout the body can create revealing changes in the mouth3. Through a routine dental examination, early detection can be instrumental in reducing overall medical costs, improving patients’ quality of life, and increasing member gratitude. In addition, these programs can dramatically improve HEDIS scores for health plan sponsors.

Avēsis looks forward to the opportunity to discuss your program and its objectives and review how we can partner with you to create an innovative, customized dental care program that will best meet the needs of your covered members.

Hearing

Through years of industry experience, Avēsis has been able to design quality hearing care plans for numerous government-sponsored programs.
