Avesis Third Party Administrators is the vision vendor for the three Care Management Organizations (CMO's) awarded contracts by the Georgia Department of Community Health to manage and provide the health care of the majority of the Georgia Medicaid enrollees. Avesis will manage the routine vision network to include the processing and payment of vision claims. This change will be implemented as a phased six region roll out.

The first members impacted by this change were those who reside in the Atlanta and Central regions effective June 1, 2006 followed by the North, East, Southwest and Southeast regions effective September 1, 2006.
